The Physical Security Village (PSV) is a volunteer-led security awareness initiative that makes appearances at security conferences (like DEF CON, RSAC, and Ekoparty) as well as other educational functions.
The aim of PSV is to raise awareness of easily preventable security faults that occur in any home or business through hands-on learning. This encourages individuals to check their premises and fix security issues in a way that deters would-be burglars and makes it harder for them to gain entry. We believe that understanding how things can be bypassed is the first step to building them better.
From latch bypass to access control systems, and RFID cloning, we cover the full spectrum of physical attack and defense. Our village hosts talks, workshops, and hands-on exhibits for all skill levels.
Our Mission
Advance the understanding of physical security through open education, hands-on learning, and community collaboration.
Our Values
Openness, ethics, curiosity, and responsible disclosure. We operate under the hacker ethos — learn everything, break things safely, share knowledge freely.
Community First
Every aspect of PSV is built by volunteers who are passionate about physical security. Join us and shape the future of the village.
